Situation at a Glance:
Hostilities escalating on 3 September across Taiz, the West Coast, Aden Hubs including Hays, Al Khukha, Al Mukha, Mawza, Alwazyah, Maqbanah, Jabal Habashi, Almaafer and Almadharibah, triggering one of the sharpest spikes in new and secondary displacement there and placeing additional pressure on receiving sites. Access is severely constrained: the Taiz–AlMakha road has been disrupted, the main road to Maqbanah is blocked, currently clashes are in the road between AlMakha and Aden. Telecommunications disruptions hamper verification and real-time tracking.
The Cluster tracked around 15,400 newly displaced households. Numbers keep changing from day to day.
