- WFP launched the Youth Empowerment and Livelihoods Programme (YELP), securing commitments from Government, United Nations agencies and private-sector partners to scale up coordinated efforts that address youth unemployment, enhance skills development and create sustainable economic opportunities.
- WFP, in collaboration with other United Nations agencies, supports the Government of Zimbabwe in responding to the needs of South African returnees, strengthening coordinated reception and assistance efforts to ensure access to essential services, protection and dignified reintegration.
- WFP was selected to chair Zimbabwe’s new Humanitarian Inter-Sector Coordination Group, leading preparedness efforts for the projected Super El Niño.
