CONTEXT
In March 2026, six incidents affected humanitarian personnel, compared with seven in February, representing a 14 per cent decrease, and continuing the downward trend observed since December 2025. This reduction might be linked to reduced presence of humanitarian actors and activities linked to financial constraints, rather than an improvement of security situation.
Incidents of a criminal nature accounted for half of the cases, including two cases of physical assault and one robbery.The remaining incidents were related to
restrictions and interference, comprising two incidents of arrest of humanitarian personnel and one case of illegal taxation.
National NGOs were the most affected, with three incidents, followed by international NGOs with two incidents, and United Nations agencies with one incident.
Since January 2026, Bangui and Haut-Mbomou have been the prefectures recording the highest number of incidents, with seven and four cases respectively. Vakaga, Haute-Kotto and Nana-Mambéré each reported two incidents.
