As the Sudanese crisis’ front lines continue to shift, over 33.7 million people are now in need of assistance, far exceeding the funds currently available for humanitarian responses (OCHA, July 2026).
Especially across the Darfurs and Kordofans, needs continue to grow and NGOs need to plan interventions within these financial constraints, particularly for WASH responses.
Solidarités International (SI) is proactively adapting its activities and areas of intervention to provide support to the most vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDPs), host communities, and returnees.
This newsletter will focus on:
- Opening new areas of intervention in East Darfur and West Kordofan
- Market Support and Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) across Sudan
- SI’s response to the African Horse Sickness epidemic in Tawila
- Restoring dignity through accessible sanitation in Al Jazira State
