  • WFP’s Supply Chain presence in Djibouti is evolving quickly, with the decommissioning of the Humanitarian Logistics Hub (HLB) and planned handover to Government. The CO remains focused on retaining a self-sustaining logistics presence that can continue to implement the CSP whilst continuing to provide corridor and on-demand services to the COs in the region and in-country partners.
  • WFP is currently implementing its first food assistance project funded by the Africa Development Bank (AfDB) in Djibouti. This project marks WFP’s first partnership with an IFI for its operations in Djibouti as well as its first local purchase of food from the country.
  • A full pipeline break is projected from July 2026 for Djibouti’s refugee, resilience and emergency preparedness & response programmes. The net funding shortfall amounts to USD 7.7 million for the six-month period of June-November 2026.
